The Australian Crime Commission is under pressure to name suspected drug cheats after top-level briefings failed to defuse anger at Australia's sports doping scandal.

The ACC said last week it had uncovered widespread doping in Australian sport, citing legal reasons for not divulging specifics.

But state Sports Ministers and sporting identities have expressed concern at the lack of specifics from the Commission, insisting that details of those implicated should be released to avoid tainting the innocent.
