The Wellington Phoenix had to come from behind twice to snatch a 2-all draw with Adelaide United in their A-League football match in the capital yesterday afternoon.
Adelaide opened the scoring after Tomi Juric was left unmarked in the box to finish from a cross.
Phoenix striker Jeremy Brockie equalised after a goalkeeping error but Adelaide were in the lead within moments when Marcelo Carrusca scored from a wonder strike outside the box.
Adelaide defender Jon McKain was sent off in the 68th minute and with ten minutes to go the Phoenix grabbed an equaliser through on-loan striker Corey Gameiro.
The draw keeps the Phoenix at the foot of the table while Adelaide move up to third.
The Phoenix host Newcastle in their next match on Wednesday.
