Toyota yet to get Carter

10:11 am on 7 March 2013

The All Blacks first five eighth Daniel Carter says reports that he's off to play for Japanese club Toyota are speculation and he hasn't decided anything about his future.

Carter says his management group is in discussions with clubs in Japan but it's still early stages.

The 31-year-old is contracted through to the next World Cup and has a sabbatical once again inked into his contract, though it's yet to be decided if he'll head back to Europe again, go to Japan or just take some time off - or even whether he'll take his sabbatical at all.

Carter says it's early in the season and he wants to concentrate on playing for the Crusaders.

The Christchurch-based side travels to Wellington to face the Hurricanes on Friday night.
