Aussie Rules player to work for Sallies as parking "fine"

A Colllingwood AFL player will reportedly serve volunteer nightshifts for the Salvation Army as punishment for parking in the club CEO's car spot.

Travis Cloke initially received a $1000 fine following several warnings about taking the boss's car space at the club's offices where parks are in short supply.

News Limited reported Cloke admitted his guilt, and suggested the punishment instead of the fine.

A spokesman for the AFL Players' Association has described the situation as "ludicrous".
