The test cricket series between New Zealand and England will head to a decider on Friday at Eden Park, after persistent rain in Wellington ended any chance of play on day five of the second test.
Play was abandoned without a ball being bowled at the Basin Reserve, meaning the series should be decided in Auckland - weather permitting, of course.

And New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum has defended the state of the nation's pitches in the wake of criticism from the England coaching staff.
The England bowling coach David Saker believes the Dunedin and Wellington wickets have been docile lacking pace and bounce for entertaining test cricket.
McCullum though has no qualms about the pitches saying if a day's play hadn't been lost in both matches there's bound to have been a result.
He says it seems to be bowling coaches who have a problem with the decks and they aren't three- or four-day pitches but five-day grinding wickets which you've got to work incredibly hard to get reward from, and he doesn't see anything wrong with them.
