Kings boss on his way to New Zealand

The Eastern Province Rugby Union president Cheeky Watson is on his way to New Zealand to address the Southern Kings with the new Super Rugby side facing sanctions after fielding too many foreign players in their loss to the Chiefs last weekend.

The Kings, who are in Christchurch preparing to take on the Crusaders, have sent Argentinian Tomas Leonardi and Frenchman Virgile Lacombe home and replaced them with two South African players.

SANZAR says they will not be taking any action against the Kings as the ruling to only allow 2 foreign players in a game day squad is a South African Rugby Union one.

Watson says he expects SARU to take some action.
