4:27 pm on 21 March 2013

The Highlanders' stalwart Chris King will make his 100th Super Rugby appearance when he runs out against the Chiefs in Hamilton Friday night.

The prop will play his 84th match for the Highlanders and becomes the third player from there to become a centurion after Anton Oliver and Jimmy Cowan.

King also played for the Crusaders.

There are three changes from the side that lost to the Hurricanes with hooker Liam Coltman making his first start for the Highlanders following injuries to Andrew Hore and Brayden Mitchell.

Josh Bekhuis returns to lock and Jarrad Hoeata moves to blindside flanker and Joe Wheeler moves to the bench.

In the backs, Ma'a Nonu returns to second five replacing Phil Burleigh.

Jason Rutledge is the reserve hooker.
