Michael O'Leary, the high profile owner of the budget airline Ryanair, has donated 200,000 euros to a fund for a paralysed Irish amateur jockey.

O'Leary had initially added the money to the stake for a race at the Irish Grand National meeting on Monday, which was won by his own horse.

He then gifted the 200,000 euros to a fund for jockey JT McNamara, who has been paralysed since a fall at the Cheltenham jumping festival in England last month.
