Teenage flanker Ardie Savea will make his long awaited Super Rugby debut for the Hurricanes this weekend as they host the New South Wales Waratahs on Saturday.
Savea missed the start of the Super Rugby season through suspension and has played for the Hurricanes development side in recent times.
Savea starts on the openside with Karl Lowe unavailable.
Motu Matu'u starts at hooker for the injured Dane Coles and Mark Reddish starts at lock for the injured Jeremy Thrush.
Number eight Victor Vito is still recovering from a calf injury and has been bracketed with Faifili Levave.
