Crusaders go down in Durban

5:57 pm on 6 April 2013

The Crusaders have lost to the Sharks 21-17 in their Super Rugby clash in Durban on Saturday morning, despite leading 11-9 at half-time.

Andy Ellis scored the game's only try in the first half with all 21 of the Sharks' points coming from penalties kicked by the Springbok Patrick Lambie, while replacement Crusaders No.10 Tyler Bleyendaal - in for Dan Carter, who's on paternity leave - kicked four of his own, but also failed with two late long-range efforts.

The Chiefs remain top of the local conference despite having the bye this weekend.
