Roosters play down the SBW-Dogs hype

6:23 pm on 12 April 2013

The Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has ordered his players not to be sucked in by the hype surrounding tonight's National Rugby League clash with Canterbury.

The Bulldogs' visit to the Sydney Football Stadium marks the first time Sonny Bill Williams will face the club he sensationally walked out on midway through the 2008 season for a lucrative contract with French rugby side Toulon.

None of the current Bulldogs players played alongside Williams, however the Canterbury supporters haven't forgiven their former hero and are certain to give him a hostile reception - with 10,000 tipped to make the trip across town for the game.

Robinson says it's not an issue for them.
