Test a nice distraction for Paul Gallen

Australia's Anti-Doping Authority's probe into the use of prohibited substances is expected to take some of the shine off the leadup to Friday night's ANZAC league test between Australia and New Zealand in Canberra.

ASADA has sent out letters to individuals they wish to speak to and interviews could start this week.

The Cronulla skipper Paul Gallen says international football this week will be a nice distraction from drugs investigation.

Cronulla is one of the clubs at the centre of the probe with 4 senior staff members sacked.

Despite not having lost to the Kiwis in a one-off fixture since 1998, Gallen says he won't be underestimating the current Rugby League World Cup holders, saying they've got to give them the utmost respect.
