Sanzar to investigate pitch invasion

11:32 am on 16 April 2013

Sanzar has asked for a full report on a pitch invasion in Saturday night's Super Rugby match in Perth.

The Crusaders have complained to the competition organisers about the pitch invasion late in their loss to the Western Force.

Several members of the crowd ran onto the playing surface during the dying minutes of the match, forcing referee Jonathan Kaplan to stop the game as the Crusaders were on attack.

The five fans were arrested and charged and face a five-year ban from the ground.

Sanzar boss Greg Peters says they're obviously very disappointed and they'll be making sure something like that doesn't happen again.
