It's now official that the England batsman Kevin Pietersen will miss next month's two-match test series at home against the Black Caps because of a knee injury.
Pietersen injured his right knee at fielding practice during England's tour here last month and he missed the third and final test.
England, who face home and away Ashes series against Australia this year, play New Zealand in the first test at Lord's starting on the 16th of next month.
