Arsenal and Everton draw

Arsenal missed the chance to take another step towards securing a Champions League place after fellow European hopefuls Everton held firm in a 0-0 English Premier League draw in London.

Arsenal, who had won four in a row to move up to third, are chasing qualification for the continent's elite competition for a 16th straight season.

Arsenal have 60 points from 33 games followed by Chelsea on 58 from 31, Tottenham on 58 from 32 and Everton with 56 from 33.

The top four go into the Champions League, though the fourth-placed team has to come through a qualification round first.

Meanwhile there will be two Welsh clubs in the Premiership next season after Cardiff qualified from the Championship with a 0-0 draw with Charlton.
