The former New Zealand cricketer John Parker has apologised to the Black Caps captain Brendon McCullum for inferring that he was involved in the decision to replace Ross Taylor as captain.
Early this month Parker published a document "The Taylor Affair" which outlined shortcomings in governance at New Zealand cricket.
Parker stated that McCullum knew of Hesson's movements all along but Parker says he did not intend that to mean McCullum was involved.
Parker has signed a retraction and apology and McCullum has subsequently withdrawn legal action.
