Scotland rugby star Lamont retires

The Scotland rugby international Rory Lamont has been forced to retire after losing his battle to recover from a broken leg.

Lamont has had surgery twice since fracturing a fibula during a Six Nations clash against France in February 2012, but the injury persisted to such an extent that the Glasgow Warriors ace opted to hang up his boots.

Lamont says it's clear he won't be able to get back to the level he was at before.

Lamont, whose brother Sean still plays for Glasgow, made his Scotland debut against Wales in 2005 and won 29 caps for his country.
