McCullum, Taylor cut IPL short to rejoin Black Caps

The New Zealand cricket captain Brendon McCullum's arrived in the Black Caps camp and former skipper Ross Taylor is due to join them later this weekend, after both were granted early releases by their Indian Premier League sides.

The pair weren't due to arrive on the tour of England until after the completion of this weekend's opening tour match - a three-day warm-up match against Derbyshire.

But McCullum and Taylor will have more time to get used to English conditions before the two-test series begins at Lord's later this month.

McCullum is due to join the team during their training session in Derby ovenrnight with Taylor following within 48 hours.

The Black Caps play a two-test series at Lord's and Headingley, followed by a three-match one day series in a build-up to the Champions Trophy tournament, also in England.
