Tactix beat Mystics

5:58 am on 6 May 2013

The Canterbury Tactix have scored their second win of the trans-Tasman netball season and their second victory over the Northern Mystics with a 61-57 victory in Auckland.

The Tactix held a 14-goal lead at one stage until the Mystics stormed home late in the match.

Super efficient England import Jo Harten was a key figure for Tactix under the hoop, her strike rate of 37 goals from 40 attempts and the able support she received from fast-rising goal attack Sophia Fenwick being a feature of the visitors' prowess on attack.

The Mystics were in early trouble, falling into the similar hole of recent weeks where they paid the price for basic errors.

Earlier the Central Pulse were beaten 52-30 by the Vixens in Melbourne... the Vixens stay top of the standings.

Tonight the Southern Steel host the New South Wales Swifts and the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic are in Adelaide to play the Thunderbirds.
