Juventus, Ajax win league titles

Ajax Amsterdam have been confirmed as Dutch soccer league champions for the 32nd time after a 5-nil wion at home over the bottom side Willem II Tilburg.

With one match remaining, Ajax have 73 points, four clear of PSV Eindhoven.

In Italy Juventus clinched their second successive Serie A title with three games to spare by beating Palermo 1-0.

Relations between the top German clubs Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund continued to sour ahead of the Champions League final later this month as their 1-all dress reahearsal in the Bundesliga was marred by a dismissal and a pitch side argument.

The one point confirmed Dortmund's second finish in the league which Bayern won last month having built up a massive 20-point lead.

Everton are on course to finish above Liverpool in the English Premier League for the second season in a row after holding their city rivals to a 0-0 draw in their Merseyside derby at Anfield.
