Ellis would like to see van Dyk revert to her old game

The former Australian netball captain Liz Ellis says she'd like to see Silver Fern shooter Irene van Dyk revert to her low post position within the game.

Van Dyk has complained about the physicality in the trans-tasman competition in recent weeks and has struggled to be a dominant player for the Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.

On Monday the Adelaide Thunderbirds restricted the Magic to its lowest total in the six years of the competition, while shooter van Dyke was benched for the final quarter after being kept scoreless in the 3rd quarter

Ellis believes in recent weeks the Fever and Thunderbirds have taken away the baseline space that van Dyk likes and perhaps she has become too mobile.

Ellis believes the Magic will struggle to make the play-offs and the 4th spot may go to the Pulse.
