Taylor wants Black Caps captaincy back

The former New Zealand cricket captain Ross Taylor has told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper he wants to captain the Black Caps again but is over his sacking.

Taylor was sacked during last year's tour of Sri Lanka and returned to play against England in the domestic test series but conceded his relationship with coach Mike Hesson was strained.

Taylor joined the Black Caps on their England tour at the weekend and says his time away in the Indian Premier League had given him time to reflect and get over his disappointment.

The Black Caps begin their second and final warm up match, a four day game against England A, tonight in Leceistershire.

The first test starts at Lord's next Thursday.
