England A hit back

The England A side's turned the tables on the New Zealand cricketers on day two of their four-day warm-up match at Leicester with Lions batsman Joe Root scoring a century.

Resuming on 184 for three, the Black Caps were all out for 285 with Hamish Rutherford run out for 126.

In reply the English XI made 219 for two with Root unbeaten on 105. The hosts trail by 66 runs.

The first test starts at Lord's next Thursday.
