The world tennis number two, Scotland's Andy Murray, says he'd be very surprised if he's fit in time for the second grand slam of the year, the French Open in Paris in just over a week's time.

Murray had a miserable 26th birthday as he was forced to retire in his second round tie at the Italian Open with a back injury.

Murray says he's been having intermittent back pain for the past year and a half and it has flared recently.
