Liverpool EPL club won't sell Luis Suarez

The Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says controversial striker Luis Suarez will not be sold, as the Merseyside club target Champions League qualification next season.

The Uruguayan missed the last four games of Liverpool's English Premier League season after being banned for 10 matches for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic, but finished the campaign as the club's top-scorer with 23 league goals.

Liverpool have not qualified for the Champions League since 2009 but, despite likely interest in Suarez from some of Europe's top clubs, Rodgers is confident he will still be at Anfield next season.

Rodgers says people will want to take him, but says the owners have been unequivocal in their resolve to keep him.
