Kirwan furious after Blues defeated by Brumbies

5:49 am on 27 May 2013

The Blues coach Sir John Kirwan was left fuming after the Brumbies beat his side 20-13 in Auckland.

Each team scored a try but the visitors kicked five penalties to seal the game in wet conditions.

Sir John says his team had a bad attitude and captain Ali Williams agreed it played without passion.

Kirwan says it's playoff time and his players need to grow up and get on with it.

The Blues are now third in the New Zealand conference and sixth overall.
