Darius Boyd is in doubt to play for Queensland in the opening match of the State of Origin rugby league series after suffering a suspected high ankle sprain during Newcastle's 28-12 NRL loss to the Warriors on Sunday.
Boyd suffered the injury five minutes into the second half in Auckland when his left leg was trapped in a tackle.
He played on for about 10 more minutes before going off and later left the ground with the leg in a moon boot.
The New South Wales team has been named with former Warriors playmaker James Maloney set to debut at five-eighth, in one of three new caps for the Blues.
