Henry issues public apology

The former All Blacks coach Graham Henry has publicly apologised for his verbal attack last week on the refereeing standard in Super Rugby.

SANZAR let the Blues assistant coach off with a caution and ordered him to issue a public apology for his comments made about the refereeing in the Blues' loss to the Crusaders.

Henry has issued a statement via the Blues and says his intention was to try to respond to media questions in an honest but humorous style.

However, he admits he failed to achieve that and some of his comments went too far in criticising match officials.
