The former All Blacks prop John Schwalger will play for Wellington in this year's national provincial competition after a two year stint with French club Agen.
The 29-year-old Schwalger, who's played two tests, has also signed a two year deal with the Hurricanes for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Schwalger played 76 matches for the Hurricanes between 2006 and 2011 and will replace Ben May in the squad with May heading to Japan at the end of the season.
