The French rugby team have lost another player for this month's tour of New Zealand with winger Alexis Palisson withdrawing through injury.

The Toulon winger confirmed he needs an operation on his left hand, halting his return to international rugby after last representing France three years ago.

He's been replaced in the squad by Marc Andreu.

The French have already lost prolific points scorer Morgan Parra, who was ruled out with a thigh injury.

The first test is at Eden Park next week.
