Martin Guptill has belted the equal fifth highest score in one-day international cricket to propel New Zealand to an 86-run win over England in Southampton, and an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Guptill's 189 not out was his second hundred in as many matches after his unbeaten 103 at Lord's, and a New Zealand ODI record, as the Black Caps posted 359 for three batting first.
Guptill says it was a big confidence booster after having a lean patch and wants to continue with his form through the Champions Trophy.
The sides will meet for the third ODI on Thursday morning in Nottingham.
