The New York Knicks' All-Star point guard Jason Kidd is retiring after 19 seasons in the NBA.
Kidd completed his career ranked second overall in assists and steals to John Stockton.
The 40-year-old earned All-Star honors 10 times while playing for Dallas, Phoenix, New Jersey and New York.
Kidd won an NBA title with Dallas and twice played on gold medal-winning US Olympic basketball teams.
