Heat make third straight NBA finals series, face Spurs

3:49 pm on 4 June 2013

The NBA basketball champions, the Miami Heat, have made the finals for the third year in a row with a comfortable 99-76 win over the Indiana Pacers in the decisive game seven of the Eastern Conference in Miami.

That sets up a mouthwatering finals clash with Western Conference champions, the San Antonio Spurs.

The Heat take the series 4-3 and once again it was league MVP LeBron James who scored an almost inevitable game-high 32 points.

But this time James was joined by fellow Miami stars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh

Wade ended a run of 12 games without breaking 20 points, putting up 21, while Bosh scored nine points and grabbed eight rebounds.

The best-of-seven finals series starts in Miami on Friday.
