Savea to captain under-20 side

12:47 pm on 5 June 2013

The Hurricanes flanker Ardie Savea will captain the New Zealand under-20 rugby side as they start their Junior World Championship campaign against Fiji in France tomorrow morning.

The New Zealanders are chasing a fifth title after losing to South Africa in last year's final.

Coach Chris Boyd says they know that any time they play against their Pacific neighbours, they play with great passion and energy, so they need to be solid and clinical about following their own game plan.

The team will meet Australia and Ireland in their two other pool matches in Vannes.
