Record revenues for English clubs but Bundesliga still the most profitable

English Premier League football clubs will enjoy a revenue boost of almost 25 per cent next season thanks to a glut of lucrative new television deals, according to a report published by financial analysts Deloitte.

Three television rights agreements estimated to be worth almost $11 billion are due to kick in when the new season begins.

The new deals include a contract with US broadcaster NBC, in which 380 matches will be broadcast to American fans over three years.

However, despite record overall revenues half the clubs in the Premier League are still making losses.

Germany's Bundesliga is Europe's most profitable championship, recording a operating profit of $300 million.
