Sonny Bill free to play Warriors despite high shot

The National Rugby League star Sonny Bill Williams is free to play the Warriors this weekend despite being charged for a high tackle by the match review panel.

The Roosters' forward escaped with a grade one charge for his high shot on Parramatta's Matt Ryan in their victory over the Eels.

Williams can avoid a ban with an early guilty plea.

His fellow back-rower Boyd Cordner is in facing a one-week suspension after being charged with striking following a brawl in the Eels' match.

Cordner will miss the Warriors clash even with an early guilty plea, but has until Wednesday to decide whether to fight the charge at the NRL judiciary.
