The San Antonio Spurs have regained their advantage in the NBA basketball finals, with a 113-77 blowout win over the Miami Heat to take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

The Spurs were lifted by their role players, Danny Green and Gary Neal, who each delivered career-best performances as they combined for 51 points.

Green had a game-high 27 points, including seven three pointers, while Neal came off the bench to score 24 points, including six from beyond the arc.

The Spurs' defence limited four-time league most valuable player LeBron James to 15 points.
