New Zealand's failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the world men's team squash tournament in France, the 12th seeds losing 2-1 to sixth seeds Germany.
The loss was compounded by an injury to New Zealand number one Campbell Grayson, who will miss the team's next match against Pakistan in the playoffs for 9th to 16th.
