The Cambridge mountainbiker Sam Gaze has won the junior boys cross country at the latest World Cup meeting in Italy.
In his debut World Cup event, the 17 year old, who is the current national and Oceania champion, dominated the race to win by 45 seconds.
Rotorua's Dirk Peters finished 9th in the under-23 cross-country race.
