Smith and Barrett hoping for hometown test

The All Blacks coach Steve Hansen runs the risk of incurring the wrath of Taranaki rugby folk when he names his side to play France in New Plymouth this weekend.

The All Blacks centre Conrad Smith says it'd be hard to take if he was to miss out on a hometown test, while Beauden Barrett is the other Taranakai raised player locals will be hoping to see take the field.

But Smith, who's already played two tests in New Plymouth says he'd cherish another but is unsure of what Hansen's plans are.

Hansen will name his third test line up on Thursday.
