The Queensland rugby league coach Mal Meninga has called up the Canberra Raiders' Auckland-born second rower Josh Papalii and Manly halfback Daly Cherry-Evans for next week's must-win State of Origin game two in Brisbane.
Dropped are back rower Ashley Harrison and prop David Shillington, paying the price after the Maroons pack was outplayed in the opening loss to New South Wales in Sydney.
Papalii moved to Queensland when he was six.
