The Australia rugby coach Robbie Deans has received some welcome news ahead of the first test against the British and Irish Lions, with the winger Digby Ioane declaring himself fit Saturday's match in Brisbane.
Ioane, who had knee surgery late last month, says his rehabilitation has gone well enough for him to feel ready to play if selected.
When fit, the 27-year-old has been a first-choice for Deans and would be expected to start Ioane on the left wing, with former the rugby league internnational Israel Folau tipped to start on the right wing.
