The New Zealand men's cricket squad will be without three injured senior players for next week's two Twenty20 matches against England at the Oval in London.
The former Black Caps captain Daniel Vettori has just had an operation of his left achilles tendon which will hopefully prolong his career, and the all rounder Grant Elliott and pace bowler Tim Southee have also been ruled out because of injury.
Leading batsman Kane Williamson and wicketkeeper Luke Ronchi have also left the squad, which now includes batsmen Hamish Rutherford and Tom Latham, and the spinner Ronnie Hira.
