The Warriors have released the NRL winger, Bill Tupou, to join the Canberra Raiders on a two-and-a-half year deal with immediate effect.
The 22-year-old played 62-first-grade games for the Auckland-based club and was a junior star, scoring 28 tries in two seasons with the under-20s.
He has fallen out of favour under the new coach, Matt Elliott, with Glen Fisiiahi and Ngani Laumape the preferred options on the wing.
Tupou's manager, Stan Martin, says he will join the Raiders next week and could play for them against the Cowboys next weekend, filling the hole left by the suspended, Blake Ferguson, and the injured, Edrick Lee.
Tupou is the second player to be released by the Warriors this month, with young five-eighth Harry Siejka allowed to leave without playing an NRL game.
