Lions great says Wallabies captain lucky

The Irish rugby great Brian O'Driscoll has needled James Horwill by calling the Wallabies skipper "a lucky boy" after he was cleared of a dangerous rucking charge in last weekend's first test in Brisbane.

O'Driscoll is the first Lions player or official to openly comment about Horwill's escape from his first Test citing when he was charged with stamping on the head of the Lions lock Alun Wyn Jones, who required stitches after the tourists' 23-21 win at Suncorp Stadium.

O'Driscoll believes Horwill's knows himself that it was a lucky let-off, and the tourists were known to be unhappy with the result of the judicial hearing.

The Irish centre will be making his 134th test appearance on Saturday night in Melbourne.
