The hosts lead on 113.4 penalty points as a team, with individuals in first, second, fourth and sixth spots.
Badminton winner Jonathan Paget and Clifton Lush are New Zealand's best-placed after the dressage and showjumping, in 13th, with Luhmuhlen victor Andrew Nicholson and Quimbo 17th.
