Triple bogey upsets Ko at US Open

A triple bogey has upset Auckland golfer Lydia Ko's scorecard during her second round at the United States Open in New York.

After an even par first round the world's number one amateur carded a six on the par three third hole at the Sebonack golf club as she came home on the front nine.

The 16 year old, who is currently ranked 16 in the world, had two holes left to play on day two when play was abandoned due to fog.

Ko will resume her second round tomorrow at 3 over for the tournament, 12 shots behnd the leader world number one Inbee Park of Korea.

The projected cut is at six over par.
