Rising French tennis star Jo-Wilfried Tsonga says he's confident he can go one better and win the Australian Open later this month.

Tsonga was beaten by Novak Djokavic in his first major final in Melbourne in the 2008 final.

The 23-year-old had his first practice session at the Queensland Tennis Centre yesterday, ahead of the first-ever Brisbane International tournament, which starts on Sunday.

Tsonga says he would love the opportunity to play Djokavic in the Brisbane final.
