The Portsmouth football striker Jermain Defoe says he has received threats from Portsmouth fans furious about him seeking a return to Tottenham Hotspur one year after leaving the London club.
The 26-year-old England forward told a Sunday newspaper he doesn't know how the fans got hold of his number but some of the calls made him feel sick to his stomach.
Defoe also says he would like to play again for manager Harry Redknapp, who left Portsmouth for Premier League rivals Spurs in October.
Tottenham are not the only club interested in Defoe. Italian giants Juventus and Manchester City have also been linked with the player.
