Sir Richard Hadlee now a Hall of Famer

The New Zealand cricketing great Sir Richard Hadlee has been named as one of the inaugural inductees of the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame has been established by the sport's governing body as part of its Centenary Year celebrations during 2009.

Sir Richard is the only New Zealander named and joins legends such as WG Grace, Sir Don Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers and Sunil Gavaskar as one of the initial 55 inductees.

Hadlee says it's an honour to be included in the Hall of Fame alongside so many outstanding cricketers and hopes there will be a few more New Zealanders on the list in the future.
